With regard to the plan to build a paper mill in China, Prince Paper Co., Ltd. has reached a basic agreement with the Management Committee of Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone, located in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, China, on matters related to the use of its land in order to officially carry out its business in China for the whole and even the fashion. Prince Paper Co., Ltd. plans to call the manufacturers in the land-based base by the end of 2006. The key to growth is to build 600000 tons of coated paper production equipment (investment of about 60billion yen) on the ground for internal reasons, and plans to build a pulp and paper integrated joint plant with an annual output of 1.2 million tons to produce high-end cultural paper and coated paper (total investment is expected to reach 200billion yen)
in the medium and long-term business plan of the company designated in 2001, it has publicly announced the idea of setting up a production base with an annual output of 1million tons in Asia in five years with the goal of establishing an "Asian nationality enterprise originally from Japan", and has carried out a lot of research and discussion work for this purpose
China will host the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 and the Shanghai World Expo in 2010. It is expected that its economy will continue to develop at an annual growth rate of 7%, which will surely make China's demand for high-end cultural paper and coated paper used in commercial printing and other aspects continue to grow and become a very attractive market. So far, on the premise of building a pulp and paper production base with an annual output of 1million tons, through repeated and unremitting investigations in all aspects, we have decided to officially carry out production and sales activities in the printing paper field of high-end cultural paper and coated paper. We hope that through the production and sales of Prince paper, which enjoys a high reputation in the world, rururuo 3 will make plastic into brand printing paper one day in the future, so as to make our contribution to the development of China's economy and culture
